From Humble Beginnings to Trailblazing Tourism
Cape to Cape Explorer Tours kicked off back in 2010, with a big vision and an even bigger love for the natural beauty of the South West. Fast forward to today, and we’ve become the go-to experts for anyone keen to walk the iconic Cape to Cape Track. Whether it’s a fully guided adventure. Or a self-guided journey with all the logistics sorted, we’re all about helping people connect with the land, the sea, and the unique culture of the Margaret River region.
The team lives and breathes the track—literally. We’re based right here in the region and are passionate about preserving the natural environment we call home. Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us. It’s built into everything we do. From partnering with local producers to maintaining eco-accreditation and supporting local conservation groups, we walk the talk. And then some.

A History of Kicking Goals
This isn’t the first time Cape to Cape Explorer Tours has turned heads at awards nights. Over the years, we’ve scooped up a heap of accolades, including multiple wins at the WA Tourism Awards for ecotourism and accommodation. Our accommodation hub, SurfPoint Resort, even took home gold for 3–3.5-star accommodation—and went on to win bronze nationally!
Back in 2023, we were named Business of the Year at the Margaret River Region Business Awards, along with wins for environmental excellence, tourism excellence, and more. And in 2025, the good news just kept coming—Floss Hayes, our Operations Manager, received the prestigious Sir David Brand Young Achiever Medal at the WA Tourism Awards. And founder Gene Hardy was honoured with the first-ever Local Tourism Legend award. Talk about a power duo!
