Meet our Cape to Cape hikers! We’ve loved the all-star cast of wonderful hikers from all corners of Australia and around the world arriving in Margaret River to walk the Cape to Cape Track with us. Here are some of their faces and stories!

Completing the Cape to Cape with good mates

Mary Fogarty and friends (pictured above) are all smiles as they prepare to kick off their Cape to Cape Track adventure. The five Sydneysiders are glad to see some WA sunshine! This awesome bunch said they couldn’t wait to get amongst the Track’s epic coastal scenery. Ancient granite geology. Towering Karri forest. And colourful coastal heath teeming with birds and reptiles. Stoked!

Terrain like “Swiss cheese” beneath the feet of Clare and friends

Clare McGee and friends Ivan, Frank, Judy, Christine and Geoff are pictured above checking out Bride Cave after a day on the Cape to Cape Track. This cave plummets straight down more than 30m into limestone hollowed out by the passage of water through the Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge. It’s a fascinating tale of geology. The ground really is like Swiss cheese beneath our feet in the Margaret River region. That’s why we’re famous for cave exploration as well as for hiking the Cape to Cape Track.

Cape to Cape self-guided in 5-day express

Angela Davies and Laurene Mandelson jetted into WA from Tasmania to tackle Margaret River’s stunning 124km coastal hiking trail. And they didn’t do it in the usual 7 days either. Instead, they opted for our challenging 5-Day Fast And Furious self-guided adventure! “Go girls! Absolute pleasure to launch these lovely ladies,” says our guide and driver Bree. She gave them a quick tour of the region and a briefing about the Track before snapping this photo (above) of the duo at the Track’s starting point at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse.

Ticking the Cape to Cape off the bucket list

This photo was also taken on “launch day” for Pauline and David Williams on their way to the start of the Cape to Cape Track! After 36 years of marriage and with kids who have finished uni and left the nest, the time was right to tick the Cape to Cape off their bucket list. Pauline helps run a cancer charity called Dreams To Live For. And David is semi retired. But both said they couldn’t wait to get stuck into their hiking adventure. Bon voyage guys!
