Andrew and Annie tied the knot 33 years ago and they decided tackling the Cape to Cape Track was the ultimate way to celebrate their anniversary! The Perth couple joined our 8-Day Guided End-to-End adventure recently, walking every step of the 124km track. The love birds are pictured (below) on Day 5 with Redgate Beach in the background.
Walking in nature with like-minded souls
“It’s incredible,” said Annie. “We’ve loved it. It’s exceeded our expectations. The guides have been really great. And we’ve loved our week on the Track.” Andrew meanwhile said he relished the challenge of walking for 7 days covering 14-22km per day. And he said he enjoyed the company of like-minded walkers in the guided group. Well done guys! And here’s to many more happy anniversaries spent in nature and each other’s company.
Tina’s inspiring story on the Cape to Cape walk
Andrew and Annie weren’t the only inspiring characters we hiked with this season. Tina Sonnelewis, pictured above, has completed 7 marathons and trekked the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory. She’s ascended Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa and also tackled Mount Blanc in Europe. And now she’s added Margaret River’s epic 124km Cape to Cape Track as another feather in her cap!
Margaret River’s best hike “perfect for mind and body”
Tina rated her experience on our guided trek as “simply excellent”. “It was so scenic. A good walk. I just loved it. Thank you Cape to Cape Explorer Tours. It was such a great trek with excellent guides, glamping tent accommodation at SurfPoint Resort and the food… simply the best with all the little details taken care of.”
