Our team are all set for a bumper season of autumn hiking on the Cape to Cape Track – the Margaret River region’s famous coastal hike! The Cape to Cape Explorers Team got together this week for a training and bonding day before our 8-Day Guided End-to-End hiking tours kick off in March.
Sunny skies and mild temps for hiking in Margaret River
Our autumn hiking season kicks off from the start of March and runs through to June. Autumn is a season when the weather is mild and sunny and skies are blue. Winds are also light and nights are mild.
“Autumn is one of the best times to hike in WA’s South-West. The Cape to Cape Track looks amazing at that time of year. With mild weather, autumn hiking is a pleasure,” says Gene Hardy. He’s the founder of Cape to Cape Explorer Tours, the only Margaret River-based company specialising in hiking experiences on the Track.
New faces join the team for autumn hiking on the Cape to Cape Track
We’ve welcomed some new faces to our team of guides and drivers. And we’ve welcomed back our most experienced staff members who have been with us for many years now, sharing their wealth of local knowledge and love of the Cape to Cape Track.
Knowledge sharing and story telling with new staff and old
The day involved plenty of knowledge sharing. Story telling. And swapping tips and tricks for ensuring our hikers have the ultimate experience during their time with us. We also welcomed our driver Glen to the role of Fleet Manager. And Track guide Mike who has taken on the role of Head Guide in the Cape to Cape team!
A feast for the tastebuds as well as the senses
Plus, the team were treated to a lunchtime taste testing of the catering team’s delicious Track lunches and satisfying dinners to be supplied to our hikers this season. A big high five to our catering manager Lisa for the sensational flavours!
