From 12-19 October 2013, 16 intrepid soles took on the magical Cape to Cape hike in WA in the hope of raising $50k in support of the global work of The Hunger Project in ending world hunger…the group was supported by the Cape to Cape Track specialists, Cape to Cape Explorer Tours.
What unfolded was an epic and often emotional journey, with all walkers pushing their own personal limits and coming away with an incredible journey of personal development along one of Australia’s most stunning coastal landscapes, the Cape to Cape Track.

“The Hunger Project is a fantastic global movement that supports ground roots capacity building initiatives in third world countries’, says Cape to Cape Explorer Tours Director Gene Hardy. “The participants on this walk undertook an incredible personal journey, as well as raising a significant amount of money that will go directly into areas that need it most.”
Participants camped out at a central base and accessed each day’s walk via bus. They completed the challenging hike in eight days, with most days averaging just under 20kms in length. Each participant personally fundraised for the event, and a total in excess of $57,000 AU was raised by the 16 hikers, an incredible effort!
The Cape to Cape Hike for Hunger event will take place again in 2014 and anyone wanting more information on this fantastic fundraising event is encouraged to contact either;
