Cape to Cape Track new trail markerNew trail markers for the Cape to Cape Track are now installed across the 135km length of the world-class hiking trail.

They’ll make following the track even easier. And help hikers to navigate the trail as it winds through an epic mix of forest, beach, coastal cliffs and heath packed with wildflowers and orchids.

The bright and catchy new logos have been developed by the WA Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.

The image shows the Cape to Cape Track as it winds between the ocean and the forest. The large dots at either end represent the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse at the beginning and end of the track. The dots in between are the steps taken by hikers.

A big thanks goes out to the Friends of the Cape to Cape Track. Their tireless volunteers replaced many of the old trail markers with the new ones.

At the recent Friends of the Cape to Cape Track annual general meeting, chairman Kevin Lange said 50 volunteers were allocated a section of the track to upgrade.

“We’ve already received a massive number of emails from hikers who are incredibly enthusiastic about the new markers,” Kevin says.

The markers are also reflective so they’ve visible at dawn and dusk.

As well as new trail markers, more marker posts are being installed, including large signs indicating beach exits.

All in all, the improvements are a big win for hikers! To book a guided or self-guided walking tour, see Cape To Cape Explorer Tours. We’re the specialists when it comes to the Cape to Cape Track.
