Borders open with perfect timing for autumn hiking in WA
Sunny skies and light breezes for autumn hiking
During autumn in WA’s South-West, you can expect light breezes. Clear sunny skies. Mild temps. And ideal hiking conditions. It’s a fabulous time of year for walking in the wilderness! Or, book ahead for what is shaping up as a super spring from September through to December, when the wildflowers and orchids return to WA’s South-West.
Cape to Cape Track in top shape despite recent fires
In other good news, a recent bushfire in the Margaret River region has only affected a small part of the Cape to Cape Track. Fire affected the section of Contos Cliffs and some of Boranuo Forest. It’s an area we traditionally walk through on the afternoon of Day 5 and morning of Day 6, when completing the Track in 7 days of hiking. But thanks to summer rains, the affected section of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park is bouncing back strongly and it will not impact any of our tours going ahead. So we’ll see you on the Track soon!
