Participants from the College of Surgeons enjoyed a range of activities with Cape to Cape Explorer Tours on Saturday the 22nd October. Light winds and overcast skies meant that the Bay’ s normally turquoise water took on a gleaming grey character, perfect for kayaking!
“I had a great time kayaking with Cape to Cape Explorer Tours, and this was my second time”, said Prashant Patel. “We saw loads of whales and even managed a shovel nose shark!”
Walkers on the Bunker Bay Explorer enjoyed the marine action also, spotting humpback whales, New Zealand fur seals and a range of bird species roosting on the sea cliffs, including a nankeen kestrel.
The bush tucker taster plates were popular with all, the fresh lemon myrtle cordial and the quandong leather a hit with the kids, while others loved the kangaroo and emu salami.
