Cape To Cape Explorer Tours guides hit the track!

Cape To Cape Explorer Tours have used the COVID-19 down time to get out on Margaret River’s Cape to Cape Track. And what a blast we had!

Our entire team of guides and support, logisitics, catering and driving staff hiked the 124km length of Margaret River’s favourite multi-day walk.

Not only was it invaluable training. And a chance to get together and share our knowledge of the geology, marine environment, flora, fauna, and indigenous and European history.

But it was also an amazing Cape To Cape Explorer Tours team bonding experience, learning more about each other and our own stories.

It means we’re all feeling inspired for the upcoming spring season. That’s when the WA border is likely to reopen. And when we are restarting our signature Guided 8-Day End-to-End experiences on the Track.

Cape To Cape Explorer Tours founder Gene Hardy says he’s stoked to hike the Track with his team of passionate Margaret River locals.

“We had an absolute ball,” he says.

“We ticked off some really valuable guide training. And practical elements to improve the experience we offer our guests.

“But we also scored some fantastic weather and beautiful hiking days. And we spent time getting to know one another better, and having some great laughs along the way.”

Highlights included swimming at the Aquarium and body surfing at Boranup Beach. Standing atop Wilyabrup Cliffs as a powerful storm front swept in from the Indian Ocean, bringing multiple rainbows with it.

Marvelling at the first orchids of the season to rear their dainty heads along the Track. And forming a triumphant tunnel to run through as we reached the finish line at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse.

Amazing memories that we’ll treasure for life!

Look forward to seeing you on the Track soon with Cape To Cape Explorer Tours!
