Wrapping up a fabulous autumn on the Cape to Cape

In the newsletter, Cape to Cape Explorer Tours founder Gene Hardy gives us a wrap-up of what’s been an amazing autumn season of hiking on Western Australia’s Cape to Cape and Bibbulmun tracks. It included a visit from Australian cricketer Mitch Johnson as an ambassador for Legacy WA. Our guide Kristie completing an incredible ultramarathoin, running the entire Cape to Cape Track in 20 hours. And hundreds of stoked hikers who connected with nature in WA’s South-West.

Making memories to last a lifetime in Western Australia

“It’s been a sensational few months as hikers from around Australia returned to reconnect with nature. Trek in pristine surrounds. And make memories to last a lifetime,” says Gene. “It’s such a privilege to do what we do. From all our staff including our guides, drivers, catering and accommodation team, a big “thank you” for coming to hike with us!”

A bumper spring season ahead, with bookings filling fast

We’re now focussed on the spring season ahead. That’s when the wildflowers and whales return! “It’s our most popular time for hiking adventures when the region. What a kaleidoscope of colour,” says Gene. “Some weeks in September, October and November are already fully booked for both guided and self-guided adventures on the Cape to Cape Track. So get in quick if you’re planning on coming!”

Meanwhile, our dates for both autumn and spring in 2023 have also been released. So it’s the perfect time to start planning your 2023 adventures. “There’s never been a better time to tick Western Australia’s most amazing hikes off your bucket list,” Gene reckons.

As well as the hiking expeirences coming up on the Cape to Cape Track, our winter newsletter also highlights 2023 dates for our Bibbulmun Track 6-Day “Walpole Wilderness Experience”. Walk under ancient tingle forest and along rugged coastline in this amazing and tranquil hiking and nature experience. It’s got a more relaxed pace than our Cape to Cape Track end-to-end hikes.

The dates for our Walpole Wilderness Experience in 2023 include 11th – 16th February, 18th – 23rd February, 11th – 16th March, 13th – 18th May, 11th – 16th November and 25th – 30th November.
