Huge congrats to one of our most-loved guides and Cape To Cape Explorer Tours operations manager Megan Pardoe.
She’s a finalist in the Sir David Brand Young Achiever Medal!
We already know she’s awesome. But being shortlisted for this Tourism Council Western Australia award means she’s been recognised by her peers for her ongoing contribution to the WA tourism industry.
Anyone who’s had the pleasure of joining a group guided by Meg knows how passionate and knowledgable she is. Go Meg!!
And the other finalists are…
Also a big shout out to the other shortlisted candidates. They include:
Jacqueline Baril (Eat The Street Walking Tours).
Sarah Coote (Squid Productions).
Nikki DaSilva (SeaLink Rottnest Island).
And Hayley Wells (Illegal Tender Rum Co).
Cape to Cape Explorer Tours
It’s a class field, however we reckon Meg is a very deserving winner.
The decision will be announced at the 2019 WA Regional Tourism Conference in Karratha on September 17.
“I feel really privileged to be named alongside so many really inspiring women in the tourism industry,” Meg says.

More about Meg and Cape To Cape Explorer Tours
At just 23, she’s already racked up a Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Australia. Then she studied outdoor recreation in Tasmania.
After that, Meg then took on guiding and trail building roles, also in Tasmania. But the call of home saw her return to Margaret River to guide with the team at Cape to Cape Explorer Tours. She quickly became a senior guide with us. And she’s blitzing her role as the youngest-ever operations manager at the company.
Cape to Cape
“I love those little moments when I’m guiding on the Cape to Cape Track. You might spot a pod of dolphins or come across a rare orchid,” she says.
“You can’t repeat that every week. But having those special moments and sharing them with the people I’m hiking with are real highlights for me.”
